Hi, my name is Jack, I originally trained as carpenter and joiner and I’m now based in Holymoorside, covering Chesterfield, the southern Peak District and surrounding areas.

I established J.Reedman in Leicestershire back in 2006 and undertake a wide range of carpentry and building work, from kitchens, bathrooms and property renovations to traditional timber restoration and fire door work.

I take pride in doing a job properly, whether it’s a small repair or a complete renovation. My aim is to provide a reliable service and a high standard of workmanship, with the same care and attention to detail on every project.

My Background

I started my apprenticeship with my late father’s company, RR Joinery & building services, where I gained experience in both traditional joinery and larger building projects.

During that time, I worked on the restoration of five historic railway stations associated with Isambard Kingdom Brunel, starting at Market Harborough. I went on to become Head Carpenter on site, managing a team of sub contractors.

I was also involved in the manufacture, supply and fitting of the student accommodation building on Castle Street in Leicester, alongside a wide range of domestic renovations.

Since setting up J.Reedman in 2006, I’ve continued to work on all types of properties, from modern homes to older buildings that require a more traditional approach.
